Emboldened by the Treebeard project I decided to do another large Lord of the Rings project: Gandalf and the Balrog at battle on the bridge at Khazad-dûm,.
In my Facebook post I said that this took about three weeks, in truth I’m pretty sure it took rather longer. The printing alone too an age as it was printed in many parts: the base, Gandalf, then for the Balrog, each leg, each arm. the torso, his head, the flames on his head, each wing (which were also each in two parts) and finally his whip.
After they were all printed the were to assemble and paint. The painting took ages and in truth I was getting a bit fed up by the end and hankering after a new project!
